The color was great. It was easy to apply and the instructions were clear and concise. Following them was a breeze and left me with great coverage and a nice rich shade of copper red. My hair was not damaged and was shinier than I started with. I loved it and have recommended the brand to a coworker already.

I usually dye my own hair at home but I've never gotten such amazing color results before. Esalon takes hair coloring to a whole new level! It's salon quality dye creates fabulous results that even I can do. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I want it just a little bit of a lighter shade... which I just chose wrong. Esalon's salon quality dye covered up my roots and matched them to the rest of my hair! I've never found a home dye kit that made all my hair one solid color. I love the results, now I just want to go lighter and try the highlighting kit as well. Thanks esalon, you made my hair vibrantly beautiful. I love it!

The color was easy to apply and not time consuming or very messy. My hair felt like sludge when I first washed it, so I washed twice. I also pulled a lot of hair out but that could be overdue shedding. I will keep an eye on that.
My hair is shiny and pretty, but I will request 2 shades or so lighter (more golden undertones) next time I do an all over kit!

My hair is glorious!!! They were generous with the amounts of developer and color so I had no problem covering all of my hair, which is almost all the way down my back about five inches past my bra band. As a matter of fact, I had leftover color!
The process was a pain but only because of how long my hair is and how pathetic the hair clips I used were. Everything else was amazing! I loved that my name was on almost everything (I'm one of those people who never finds their name on keychains at souvenir shops). I loved the stain guard and the stain remover!
The color is exactly what I wanted and I do mean exactly! Not too light, not too dark, perfect! It's shiny, soft, warm, and perfectly suited to my complexion! Also, I have sensitive skin and had not a single issue with any of the products. The only annoying part was I had to get out of the shower to cut open the shampoo and conditioner packets with scissors because I couldn't open them.
The emails were friendly and timely without being annoying. I will be a repeat customer.

I was more than pleased with my custom color set! When it arrived, I immediately opened the box and was impressed with how much was included. The instructions and products were easy to use and my color is beautiful! As a natural redhead who is now heavily gray, it is difficult to get just the right balance with out too much orange or too much purple. My color is now very close to my natural color. I'm excited to get my next color set. I love that I can make changes to my color before each subsequent box.

Not only is the color perfect!, But the how to videos on line are very helpful. I have received so many compliments on my color. It doesn't smell so chemically, and the shampoo and conditioner that comes with it are awesome. I plan to purchase those in the future. I have been coloring my hair for years. Started out having it done at a salon (way too expensive and not happy with it), then started using store-bought box hair color and used those for years (jumping around from color to color, never knowing what the right hair color for me was). But since I've been coloring my hair with my Custom Color Set from eSalon, I have NEVER gotten so many compliments on the color of my hair. I sound like a commercial, but it is the absolute truth. In dim lighting or bright lighting, people have complimented on the color. I would assume, not only is it a great color, but it's a great color for me and my skin tone and eye color, etc. It's Light Brown (Golden Pearl). It's so natural looking. I did use the lightening kit to highlight my hair and, at the time, was a little disappointed that the highlight wasn't brighter. I'm used to putting in these brighter blonde highlights for the summer. But in the end, to my surprise, the color of the highlight ended up being perfect. It gave me just enough brightness without it looking fake. I am so very very very pleased with eSalon! I really am. And I LOVE how I can change the delivery date (so easily). My hair does not grow that fast so it is really nice to be able to skip a delivery or push the delivery date out further. Thank you so much for what you do and how you do it. Love Love Love.

That is what I had asked myself. I am a First-time user and have to tell you.... I am so happy with the color! Mostly to my surprise my husband of 31 years saw me coloring and checked out the goodies himself and said - WOW, they don't mess around. Oh, he also loves the color too which is something I have never ever heard from his mouth whenever I would buy a box at the store (and sometimes if I had it done at a Salon!).
The detail information you give to them is highly important and they were spot on with me. I had just colored my hair and it turned my highlights that were 4 months old.... silver grey - - not good! So, when you do their survey on your colors - be honest and tell them what you have going on with your hair. Mine is also fine and I am going through the change (have been for years!).
I could go on and on.... but, honestly, their customer service is comparable to Nordstrom!
It simply is an experience of MY color, My way!!!

Simple to do at home and looks great. Root color a little darker than expected. Could be a tad less dark. Lasts long and I get compliments on how good my hair looks.

I went to a salon for a trim and the hairdresser could not get over how healthy my hair was and that I colored it myself! She confirmed what I believed, this color system is wonderful and I’m extremely happy with the color and all the products I have ordered.

I really am happy with the Hair color I get at esalon. If I don’t like it it’s changed right away and I’m really happy with the color. I like the Extra bottle to put on ends it makes my hair look great. My hair stylist is always complimenting my color.

This was exactly the color I was looking for and it was so easy to apply by myself. Super even and I didn't miss a spot. It usually takes 4 of the drugstore bottle dye to cover all my hair, but just 2 of these bottles was surprisingly plenty. Very happy.

E salon sent me a complimentary first order of 2 colours one for my roots and one for my very built up coloured dark ends. I now have a shiny crown of gorgeous shiny one coloured hair!!

Got rid of my greys but even better gave me glimmers of golds,reds and brown! How could this be possible! How I say! But I’m not going to question perfection! So I shall continue to order every 4 to 6 weeks and recommend esalon to everyone who says your hair looks great! On a side note I left the root color in for 25 minutes not the 15 recommended and 15 minutes for the ends not the 10 recommended and did the whole lather thing in shower because that’s exactly how my girl does it in her salon. So save some money and look amazing and you can thank me later! God Speed.

Love the color... Didn't feel as harsh on my hair as drugstore brands. Colored my grays but within a week they were already starting to show. Hoping they are able to tweak it a little for longer gray coverage.

All in all experience was great~ from packaging, delivery, and the product. I have a very sensitive scalp but I didn't notice any residual itchiness on my scalp which what I normally experienced when I do it at the salon. As far as the color, I'm not satisfied with the first color of my choice so I'm reordering a different one and see if this is the one that I will really end up staying with. That's another great tool this website has, they give you a chance to change whatever it is you dislike with their product/color.

I thought I knew why I wanted in my hair color until I tried what my colorist suggested might look better. Amazing! I couldn't be happier.
The cost is a bit more than I can easily afford, but, with these results, I will put aside enough money to purchase from eSalon.
I am trying the highlight kit today. The instructional video was simple and easy to understand. I expect the same great results I get with the overall color.
