I'm still waiting for a response from my personal stylist from my recent color change request. I still can't see my next color purchase coming up in 5 days that I will be charged for... As far as my last color on July 5th, I asked for the red additive to be taken out and was told you guys didn't offer that. How is it fully costumizable color if I can't get a color taken out? I don't think what I am asking for is unacceptable or unachievable. I would like brilliant medium COPPER hair. My hair is very red with touches of copper. I have shown you guys pictures, asked for suggestions to get it close to the copper I am looking for... and have been pretty much told it can't happen. I have 15 years in this business, if my hair is red it needs GOLD to make it copper because red plus yellow equals orange. So copper or double copper with a splash of medium brown and NO RED additive would work. Heck... if you just take out the red from my color and add a GOLD additive to my color that might work. And as far as application, look guys... if I have previously blonde hair, my ends fade... sending me an ends refresher that's copper and red will give me two very different hair colors from root to tip. So what I did is applied my root color to my roots first...waited 15 minutes and then pulled through the ends. I then used your technique in the shower as suggested. Rinsed and shampooed my hair. Then I dried and applied the "ends refresher" as a balayage on my hair. This gave me my current results which I'm not mad about...it's just not copper enough. It's red and red fades to pink... which isn't what I want at all. So please...someone...give me copper hair. Thank you.

I always liked the color but it wasn't as easy to apply as I had hoped-for. That being said. I still used it. Now I have let my hair return to its natural color. It was different from what I expected but I like it. If I decide to color again I will lat you know!

I followed the instructions and somehow I still ended up with color hair patches. It’s also a little redder than expected. I was aiming for golden copper. I would say this is nice if you know how to color your hair at home from the get go.

Love your product,but thought I would get two treatments in every order. I tried the 10.00 offer and was hooked by the luxurious hair color I was able to achieve. I told my friends. I just received my second order,only one treatment for 36.00. Not what I thought I signed up for. I'm going to have to make a decision. I feel bamboozled.

Too dark - lighten it please.

I have went back to my old hair color for my roots (local shops) and the color just does not color my gray. This one does the job. If there is an issue, just message the colorists here and they take care to adjust your formula. Magic.

Having used esalon for the last 7 years and been very pleased with the results
...it seems the formula may have changed. Reading other reviews with the same problem, I realised that it could explain why my hair, after colouring, has gone very dark...not what I expected as is the same colour Ive had for ages.

I love the color but only 1 issue i had and I hope you can assist. When I washed it bleed ouy a lot of the color out plus I have blonde bangs and wash with super cold water but still made my blonde pinkish. Any advise? It also did the same to my gf hair that had blonde tips/ends.

I’ve been with eSalon for 3 years and it was great until this past 2 colors my hair turn out orange and it doesn’t cover my gray as much

I’ve been with you since 2015, and have recently asked to have less brown in my color, and add more purple pearl or Mahogany. Neither times has my color come to me correctly, so I write another note to my colorist in hopes they will get it right on the next shipment. This has been going on for 6 months and I’m ready to quit. All I would like is a mahogany coloring that will cover my gray. If the color I am selecting won’t work with grey then let me know. If the color I want isn’t available in your company, then let me know. If my hair will turn red when I go to use the mahogany,,,,let me know. I just want some sort of communication telling me you can or can’t do this color, that’s all. I look forward to your reply!

Color is very natural. However it started out at the ordered color, medium golden copper brown but faded within 2 weeks to a honey light brown on my partly white partly brown hair. This has been my consistent problem with Esalon. I wash my hair every 2-3 days with color safe shampoo and wear a hat when in the sun.

This is my first time using esalon and I love the color. It's exactly what I wanted! The only thing is it seems to wash out a little bit every time I wash my hair. Not sure why. Love the color though. Just wish it lasted longer.

They did great by what they are able to do according to the business but it wasn't quite what I was expecting...they have EXCELLENT customer service skills and was blown away by that...would've gotten 10 stars if that could be possible and if they were able to achieve my ultimate goal with my hair color I want. There’s got to be an in between. I used light brown and it came out almost like a strawberry dark blonde. I used the medium brown and it came out dark brown.

After reading other reviews, I agree. Something is different, my color is not holding. I also noticed that the coloring does not have its full strength and when I rinse my Greys are lightly colored. I’ve been a customer for years and something is definitely different. Did you change the formulas?

I like the color . I'm trying to stay away from brassiness because my hair pulls alot of red when dying. This is a great medium brown color with lots of demension. You can tell it's a quality product.
The only complaint I have is it did not cover all my grays ..the baby gray's in front and some on top. I'm about 30@% gray; so I don't have alot. I may need to order again to redo it? I left it on for 47 minutes, I didn't want it to get super dark.

I have been an e-salon customer since 2014 and I love my color. Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviewers. The quality of the product seems to have gone down. The color is washing out too quickly. I used to have coverage for at least 2-3 months and now it is down to one month. E-salon please fix this.

Last couple of times I have noticed that coverage of my grey hair has not been as successful ie has lasted no more than a couple of weeks around the hairline and sideboards in particular. I love the color. Just what I was looking for. The only problem it still did not cover my grays great on my sides of my face.. I feel I will have to color again with 2 weeks because they will gray will be showing bad enough that I can’t pull my hair back.

This is my first time using this, and I had never dyed my hair before, so I was a bit apprehensive, especially having coily (4c) hair, but I took the jump because I didn't want to use box dye. My hair is a level 4 from what my stylist told me, and I dyed it red copper (medium brown 5.64), and it came out as expected, maybe just a tad darker.

Custom color is a rich, dark brunette. Perfect at first, but after 3 weeks lightens up to a more red-orange. I do have an old perm, some gray which affects the color.

Awesome color match, but still have the greys

The matching of my color ( which wasn’t easy, I have at least 3 color tones to my hair) was absolutely on point! Unfortunately, it didn’t cover all of my grey hair. I even made a point to over saturate the greys that frame my face, but they are still very visible. Love the color that DID take though!

I like the color so far but I may want to change the color in the future. I got my hair cut in order to change me and I may change to another color as another movement toward trying to move as a person to another level in my life.

I love the color it's amazing. How ever I have two problems it really doesn't cover my gray hairs for more then a week and it also drys my hair.

I I loved this red copper color it looked so good and covered all Grey's on me I would get it again. But they changed the color on me to this ugly intense red so I canceled my subscription

The first time I bought the color set it did cover my Gray hair. But the next time it change little bit but it didn’t cover a lot. & the next time it did the same it didn’t cover a lot of my Grays Hairs 😞 & do love it but this time it does covers my Grays I’m going to buy it one time let’s see what happens. I love all the accessories you always get, gloves, stain remover, etc. the color is good but for some reason my sideburn area never gets all the grays covered. I went from boxed store dye to esalon, and while esalon is great, boxed color covered my hairline/sideburn areas just fine. This has not been the case with esalon.

I think with just one time I've found my new go to color system. I normally use box dyes but this felt like my hair felt after leaving the salon. Quality for sure, but not with the price tag. 💕

However I have very long hair and understood I was paying for 2 bottles at 32 dollars every time you charge me and some change. I have complained before that I don’t have enough product for all of my hair but still this keeps happening. Am I missing something? Is there a way I should be doing this that I missed?

It didn't cover all my greys but it was the best coverage I have found in the past year.
The color was exactly right. My hair is thick and curly and for this next application I will try to apply in very thin hair sections. But my hair was very dry after application.

I'm sure I'd have loved it, but the spray bottle wouldn't spray. I'll have to get a little spray bottle to put it in for next time. I'm changing my rating because they are sending me another bottle with my next order at no charge! I love when companies take care of their customers, it shows they really care about us. Pro: Other than spending a fortune at a salon, eSalon color has by far been the best product I've used on my hair.
Pro/Con: I love the try it on function for the Aura colors. It would be awesome to have that same function for the esalon coloring as well.
Con: My grays don't seem to stay covered near as long anymore. Not sure if that's due to a change in their formula or a specific ingredient or what but I will give the pre color balancer a try when it is back in stocks, hopefully that helps.
Con: I would Love to see esalon offer text messaging as an option for upcoming order reminders. It is so easy for me to miss the email and forget to change my order before it ships if needed.
Overall, I think this is a wonderful company with evolving products, flexible delivery options & great customer service and I hope they continue to thrive and keep prices down for us.

So, ALL my previous orders have never colored my gray roots strong enough. I have black hair and stark white/gray roots. Your previous formulas left my roots with a pink halo- kind of embarrassing really!
On the last application received in February, it finally covered all my grays nice and dark. I have NEVER done anything differently prior to applying it. There are never products in my hair except for just shampooing (no conditioner) the day prior. So, something in your formula was done better. Please continue to send me that perfect formula, because I feel I wasted my money on all previous terrible pink halo looking orders.

Yes, going to the salon is great. But sometimes it just doesn’t fit into my budget or time. I came across an ad on social media and decided to give it a try. The ingredients to the hair care and color is what helped me make the decision - as we all know shopping online can be iffy. I’ve used this company for several months now and no plans to stop. I love the personalized box and I receive everything needed for my coloring job. They think of everything needed down to the sticker to hold up the instructions. I am able to send feedback to my stylist as well as make order changes easily. Everything is so simplified. My hair is healthier than ever and the color and shine are unmatched. Five stars just isn’t enough.

I got the beautiful product but, it’s not your fault, my stubborn grays are too stubborn.
Don’t think I’ll find any hair color that works. However I loved the shampoo and conditioner.
I will cancel the hair dye but continue the shampoo and conditioner.

I had bought a boxed color by a well known name from a well known store. What I didn't know was this brown color I liked so much had red in the formula! I have known all along that I cannot have any red in my color. My hair sucks it up and I get .... "fire roots"?, if that's the right term.
I went online searching for an answer to how I get out of this mess. I didn't want to go to a salon, not knowing what they would charge, but knowing it wouldn't be cheap. That's when I found eSalon. The girl I spoke with spent time with me explaining exactly what happened and how it could be fixed.
The color kit I got didn't cost extra. It was exactly what I pay now. There were no consulting fees or charges for the time on the phone, and we did spend time. She wanted to be sure I felt confident in doing the color and I could call any time.
This company needs to be very successful so it is around a long, LONG time.

The first colour I ordered was too light. I took a photo of my hair and regrowth and then asked for a better match. The colorest got it 100% spot on I love it. Matched better than my regular hairdresser.

I was using Madison reed for a while but, the color faded way to fast .it was pretty frustrating. I am very pleased which esalon, and will continue using it. The staff are helpful and very knowledgeable. Thanks guys for doing such a great job!!!!!!

The colour came out really multidimensional and nice. A bit too much packaging though. I don't really care about "unboxing" my hair dye. Also, I wish I could order 1 bottle at a time, not 2. One was enough to do my whole head so basically every shipment lasts 3+ months and each bottle works out to be the same price as drugstore brands. Customer service good. Would recommend for beginners. Didn't horrify my hair stylist when I went back to her.
