Although I have wavy hair it is fine and very hard to get and maintain volume, this product is amazing I finally found the product to reach that cool while keeping my hair soft and healthy looking.

I have very thin hair with no body. This product really helped give me a little boost. Only problem is about mid day it started to feel a little sticky and heavy. Not so fond of that.

This has good lift but not the best I've ever used. Would probably repurchase if the bottle wasn't so small. Price is high in my opinion for the amount you get. The smell is awesome though!! Kinda soft after blowdry, you can't really feel it on the hair.

It's OK. I have long hair so maybe it's too heavy for the product but I do have fine thin hair. It works like a watered down mousse so it's easy to apply and kind of stiff when it dries. It holds up for most of the day, but if you run your hands through it and "soften" it up so it's not so stiff, then it doesn't work anymore.

I have fine hair so getting any height or "lift" is next to impossible. Until I tried eSalon Root Lift Spray... Here's how it works for me: I blow dry with a round brush as always. Then I use a comb to select a small segment of hair where I'd like lift, and spray the roots. I continue to hold the hair segment up until the spray dries. I repeat this in a few places in my hair style. Then I put on my make up (to allow the root spray to "set") and come back to very gently "smooth" the amount of lift to just how I like it. Finish off with hair spray and I'm good to go! The best product I've ever used to achieve lift that holds in all the right places!

I really thought this would help my hair. I followed instructions to make sure I did it correctly, otherwise I knew it wouldn’t. In the end, it didn’t matter it just did not help. I have since found another kind that does work for me.

Not sure if I'm using correctly because it makes my hair hard and crunchy. You can't comb or run fingers through your hair when you use this spray. Now I have two bottles of it one unopened and one barely used. Not sure what to do with this product.

I tried this product several times and each time it
caused my roots to clump and dry hard as a rock. It feels awful on my hair and doesn’t seem to help. Too bad as I really wanted it to work. For reference I have fine hair but a lot of it.

Je ne comprends pas. Soit je ne comprends pas comment applique le produit , soit il y a un problème. Mes cheveux sont si durs que je vais devoir les laver à nouveau pour les descendre. Even when you try to spray only on the roots it deposits elsewhere. It makes the hair stiff and tangled. I will try it again, but so far I am not in love with it.

It's been an expensive journey trying to find a product to give volume to my fine hair. I had hopes for this one, but will just be adding it to the list of no-goes. Honestly, it simply feels like hairspray and makes my hair dry, crunchy, and breakable when used as suggested. I'll use it AS a hairspray, but my search is still on for a lift.

Since I often let my hair air dry, it didn’t work for me and left all the strands feeling stiff. The one time I blew dry my hair immediately after applying the product, it did seem to give good lift at roots.

Doesn’t mist spray. It squirts big concentrated drops. Some areas get too much, while others get soaked. Leaves hair so stiff, can’t get a comb through it. Stretch hairspray leaves a finer mist with stiffness. Very disappointed. This is one product I’ll be tossing.

Not that crazy about this product. It left my hair dry after use. I put it in cupboard and forgot about it. Then tried it again a few months later. Nope. Not impressed so I tossed it out.

Although the product does give you lift, I find it really difficult to blow dry my hair using it as the round brush will not go round in my hair. It makes it very stiff.

The sprayer in this case makes all the difference. It just allowed to much product through making it stiff.

First thing i noticed was the awful overwelming alcohol smell, went on to read the ingredients and alcohol denat is the second highest ingredient. This is so, so drying and i just dont get why anyone would, rightly so, choose not to use damaging sulphates in their hair products but then go on to spray their hair with this. Its a big NO from me, straight in the bin without even trying.

I was so excited about this product but ended up disappointed.
I followed the instructions and applied to damp hair but the spray was so thick and sticky that it immediately left my hair feeling clogged and not fresh which was disappointing so soon after washing it.
After drying, it felt a bit lighter and the stickiness had gone, but my hair felt quite crunchy and the increase in volume was negligible.
My hair is quite fine with a lot of length and needs volume but, sadly, this wasn’t it.

I had high hopes for this but sadly it didn’t deliver what the bottle promised. I sprayed as directed especially on the root area but all I was left with was crispy hair and no volume at all. I will not buy this product again.

Hold's hair well at root for lift. It's a little too stiff of ahold though. Hard to brush out. A little goes a long way. Do not recommend when they say can be used as a finish hair spray.

Was looking forward to trying this product hopefully i would achieve bouncy volume style hair, but felt it was heavy and stiff after i used the hairdryer. I suppose its ok if having a night out but not so much for everyday use.

I waited a few months to write this review because I really wanted to give this product a fair shot but it’s just not a good fit for my hair. It leaves my hair dry and brittle and I don’t like the texture that it gives my hair after blow drying. I followed the instructions and sprayed it on the roots of clean, damp hair. I also played with the amount that I was applying to see if I would get better results but it still left my hair dry. I gave it two stars because the scent is very nice but in the end I won’t be repurchasing it because even though it added a bit of volume the negative impact it had on my hair made it not worth repeating the purchase. I am 62 years old, so my hair is not young anymore. Maybe this would work better on younger hair. I find that dry shampoo does the same thing as the Lift Mist without the added dryness.

I lightly sprayed my roots around my hairline while wet and then tried to blow dry it out to add volume to my hair. Imagine my surprise when my hair was as stiff as a board and crusty. I couldn't run a comb through it or a brush. So I rinsed it all out in the sink. This is liquid hair spray in a bottle. And it smells like liquid hair spray. This is definitely not a lift mist that is workable.

Not impressed, it is drying and. stiff when applied , this makes it hard to comb out and you have to wash your hair to remove it.

Out of all the Esalon products I have tried, this is the worst. I followed the directions and sprayed on the roots of my damp hair and it is like glue. It dries way too stiff and my hair is like straw. Awful!

The first time I used this on damp hair I had frozen hair that couldn’t be brushed free of the product so LOTS of breakage. I tried it again on dry hair with the same results but this time washed it out to avoid the breakage.

I didn’t like this. It left my hair so sticky, even though I didn’t use too much, I had to wash my hair again to get rid of it.. on the plus side, it had a nice smell.

This gives the roots a pretty good lift. I fi d product gets a bit crusty and sticky at roots if it sits after applying without heat styling immediately. Still a decent product

This made my hair really sticky. I could not even run my fingers through my hair. It almost felt like glue. I got a refund and tossed it. Customer service was awesome about it!!

The Original in a blue bottle was a light but strong hair spray to hold after styling. This spray needs to be used on damp hair then styled with a round brush as you blow dry. Do Not let it air dry before styling because it becomes stiff and makes it hard to use a round brush. Great Root lift with staying power.

I have only used this product once so maybe I am not using it correctly. It is a very strong hold type hair spray. I was looking for something that would go on the root of the hair & give the appearance of more volume when it dries. I will use less mist tonight and see how it performs. For now I am somewhat dissatisfied.

I followed instructions but it made my hair, which I thick,stick together I thought maybe once I blow dry it, it will help but it didn’t it really looked like my hair was stuck together!I was really disappointed it obviously works on some hair types better than others.sadly I won’t be using it again so abit of a waste!
