Sorry but I really don't care for this product. I've tried to get a color lighter than the Brunette/Black and it didn't come; now doesn't exist. It makes your hair goopy and stiff and the color goes on in streaks. It sounds like a good idea and is easier than the temporary wash-in color but really I'm thinking of getting a brown (not black) mascara wand. I've used mascara before and it actually worked better than this current product. If you have an improvement, I'd be willing to try again but for now, it's off my order.

Awful product. I used this once as directed. The color looked like black shoe polish, even though I ordered dark auburn. The color was so obviously different from my auburn color. It looked fake and awful. Would not purchase.

Quite runny it spattered on my mirror when i pulled the brush out. Brush catches in your hair, it dries clumpy and looks obvious that you are trying to cover your routes also on the expensive side for what it is Disappointed as i am so happy with hair dye products :(

Tried it a couple weeks ago. Hard to apply since it would get entangled in other longer hair even at my part and the hairline. Did come out goopy with too much in one place. Made my hair feel very stiff & sticky for a couple days.

I really like the concept, but I have long curly hair and there is no easy way to touch up roots without it getting swiped all the way down the length of the hair. It gets stuck in the strands and has to be pulled all the way through, which is not something I need or want.

It works pretty well for me but the biggest complaint I have is how hard and sticky it leaves my hair, it’s like I applied actual mascara or extra hold hairspray. Even brushing through it doesn’t help at all.

Unlike mascara. This is more like a die. I have thin spots that show the gray at my temples and tried to use it there on the hair I have there. Well, I got it on my skin. It was very tough to remove. I tried eye make up wipes. I tried soap and water. Ultimately I just had to just rub and rub until it had faded enough for me to be able to leave with a big red spot on my temple. I think it will work for average roots and lots of hair. I suggest practicing with it before you need to leave. Lol one good thing. It stays on well.

I applied this product 1 time. After washing for a week everyday there is still a waxy residue. I colored my hair last night and now I have a grey strip that did not accept color. I am not happy with this product. The spot is still waxy.

This product is hard to manage and leaves hair sticky in the drying faze and then you can feel residue hardened afterwards even though I was trying to work in bare minimum of the product. In all the fairness I have never used other touch up products so I don’t know how this one stacks up in comparison.

This is not a product that I would expect from you, using mascara would be better and cheaper. Make hair sticky and stiff when dry. I did not mean to re-order. I would like to return the second wand. The Camo mist is a much better idea.

For the first time, I’m actually disappointed in one of your products. This was very hard to apply correctly without getting too much product on your hair, which I did. I then had to completely wash the product out of my hair otherwise I would’ve had a streaky, too thick mess. Not sure I will use again.

very disappointed. it colors the greys OK along the faceline and above the ears, where it's super obvious when color starts to fade. I also wear a straw hat often. I took off the hat, my forehead and around the face had faint covering of the dye I had to wipe off every time I took my hat off. I will not be buying these ever again. Bigen ones are far far superior.

This product was also too dark for my hair color, but because it was at the roots it worked for me. If it didn't feel like you hadn't washed your hair in 5 days, I'd recommend using it, but I know there are better products out there. I don't want to have to wash my hair every single day just to use a product to cover grays.

This is the worst thing I’ve used. Much cheaper, root touch up sprays can do a far superior job. Don’t waste your money on these. They ball-up and dry out v quickly I used mine like once, it provided poor coverage. Esalon- please can you just get on board with root touch up sprays that actually work?!

I won't buy this again. It worked ok. It was hard to put on long hair. The brush splatters when you pull it out of the container. It leaves behind a sticky residue. I felt like I needed to wait to color my hair until the residue was gone. The Camo Mist is much better, easier, cleaner.

Unless, as other reviewers have also stated, you go back to original applicator. New applicator is absolutely horrible!! Goes on thick, brush gets tangled in hair and you end up having to pull through entire length of hair, which then weighs it down and just feels gross! My fingers were covered with the product- made an absolute mess! eSalon- Go back to your original applicator or forget it!! Only gave a 2 star because the color is the same.

I had a bad experience with using the camo wand. First of all the brush is much bigger than the hole it comes out of, so it splashes little dots of colour everywhere no matter how carefully I’m trying to take the brush out. When I applied it to freshly washed and dried hair I thought it was reasonably good coverage, but the look and feel of my hair becomes really greasy immediately. Also feel the need to wash my hair again the same or next day as it feels dirty. When washing it feels like the product doesn’t want to come out of my hair and leaves a residue for several washes. I gave it a few chances and tried the product a few times before I wrote this review. I was looking forward to trying this and very disappointed.

Really like this root touch-up, though be warned as it is very pigmented and so can get everywhere. Which also means much better coverage than any others I have used. For my tiny baby hair that grow out grey I have to be super careful.

This is not what I was expecting - stupid of me but I thought it was some quick dye tool when it is really just a temporary cover up. That said the low mark is because it really just felt like sticky mascara to go on your roots. Can’t run your hands over it. Won’t be using again. My own mascara would probably be better.

I've washed my hair twice since I put it in my hair and I can't seem to get rid of the icky sticky feeling in my hair where I put it. Its left a film of I don't know what - quite unpleasant, that I can't seem to get rid off. Almost like a glue of sorts. But the colour has washed out... Do not recommend.

It’s sticky and the hair sticks together. It feels very uncomfortable when it dries. This is the first product that needs work.

Applied as per instructions and hair went solid after 2 showers hair still felt hard and horrible then wirey once washed out still trying to get it to feel healthy again

I tried to used this product to touch up my roots and grays, it left my roots waxy and gross, on top of making a huge mess in my bathroom when I pulled the wand out of the tube. Needless to say I just discarded the rest.

It did color the roots correctly; however, it left my clean hair sticky. In fact I had to shampoo twice and still my hair was sticky and I really didn't use an excessive amount. Also, scalp was itchy so perhaps I'm allergic to it.

Not much new to add: it’s gloppy and the color match isn’t great, but it does cover new growth for a few days when in a fix. Way too pricey for what you get though - it’s basically the size and texture of a mascara.

My part, where I applied this product, even after being brushed through multiple times is as sticky as a fly strip. It is HORRIBLE. Do not waste your time or $ -- doesn't apply easily, could easily see using a majority of the tube in 1 application and the feeling of the product in my hair is sincerely gross.
