Perfect colorThe color was just perfect. I have waist length hair and I was able to use the one bottle to cover my hair even though my hair had grown out nearly 4 inches since my last coloring. I usually don't color my hair during winter months to give my hair a break and the ammonia smell is a bit strong. In warmer weather, I'll go outside while waiting the time out. I'm in the country and I haven't heard my chickens complain about the way I look when coloring. I just wear a hat if going out in winter when not coloring. Great coverageEvidently, I have what is known in the biz as "Stubborn Grays." I tried two other coloring services and could not get my grays covered even leaving the color on for twice the recommended time.
