Covered my grays to make real red shine!I had tried many different store brands just to cover my very insistent gray’s but they either never worked at all or only for a week at most! This does great! Absolutely Perfect Color!!!I don't know how you did it, but you sent me the perfect color from the very first shipment! I am 70 and have Salt & Pepper hair, but it used to be medium to dark brown. I was using a mixture of neutral and warm blonde Ion brand, so that the "pepper" would look brown, and the "salt" would look golden. It wasn't working as I had hoped, but I did like the midtone auburn color I was getting. It just wasn't my first choice. So I explained what I was hoping to accomplish with my first order, and you delivered! The funny thing is that I didn't realize it at first. When I used the first shipment, I colored my hair as if it had not been colored before, leaving it on for probably 30 minutes on both the roots AND the ends. The result was my old color of medium to dark brown, which was a shock, but a welcome one. I had forgotten how dark my hair had been. I specifically didn't adjust the color, and on the next shipment I followed the directions, leaving it on 20 minutes, and only the roots, and it was not as dark. Then the next time, I decided to leave it on only 15 minutes and see what happened, and BINGO! There was my Brown with Gold highlights! I realized that basically what I needed was to not try to get 100% coverage of the gray. By cutting the processing time, it just refreshes the old color and "tints" the new growth golden, but NOT brassy! And the new perfect color combo really hides the line between it and the new growth as well. I'm anticipating that I will continue with this same color until I give up coloring it altogether.
