I know Red is hard to keep!I wasn't satisfied at all with the color turn out of my hair. It had blotches of different colors all over and not becoming. Does not cover grays all the way!I was sent an order stating that it was dark brown, with beige tones did not cover all my grays. I was left with my grays being lighter than my dark hair. I was then shipped a replacement stating that it was changed, and yet again, it did not cover my grays all the way. Perfect!My colour was changed slightly by the colourist. I was advised that if I didn’t like the colour they would send me the original for free. I certainly can’t say I don’t like the colour. A little unevenI have used eSalon in the past, although it had been a while, so I was excited to use it again. Unfortunately, although the bonus roots and ends bottles supplied more than enough dye for medium/long hair, it came out a bit uneven in tone. My roots came out a bit more auburn and my ends a bit more chocolate/espresso colored. I was hoping for the opposite effect. Perhaps, the roots and ends bottles were mislabeled? I did use it exactly as directed, took the time to part my hair, brushing out each section, applying to each section and setting a timer for each part. Of note, the hair was clean and free of product (I rarely use any product or styling tools). It isn't 'bad,' it is just that I was expecting the opposite effect - darker roots and lighter ends. Although it is probably only noticeable to me, it is not bothersome enough to need to correct through a salon/stylist.
